Meet Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole Torosin, founder of GNR8 Personal Training. My interest in the intersection of genetics, people, places, and things led me to obtain a PhD in Genetic Anthropology. My dissertation focused on the evolution of yellow fever virus where I studied a population of howler monkeys that had been exposed in Argentina.
Fast forward to my yoga teacher training in Thailand, I needed some time to disconnect from my computer based job in biotech and time to reconnect with myself and the world. One day over lunch I came up with the idea to combine my passion for genetics and fitness into a business of my own. After extensive research and earning my NASM certifications, I founded GNR8!
My unique background has equipped me with the tools to understand you as a whole person: your genetics, your lifestyle, mindset, motivations, and create a tailored program to break through your plateaus and achieve your goals. Whether you train with me in person or online, I’m here to support you through every step of your health journey.

THE GNR8 System
1. Science-Backed Foundation
I have a PhD in Genetic Anthropology and have worked in multiple labs and in biotech. My career has provided me with the expertise to do the deep research and genetic analysis necessary to build our test kit. Each of the sites tested are backed by peer-reviewed published data and thoughtfully incorporated into final genetic training report. As a researcher I also stay abreast of the latest literature on cardiovascular and resistance training methods and protocols.
2. Whole-Person Approach
Your fitness journey is as unique as you are, and your training should reflect that. I go beyond sets and reps, taking the time to understand your health history, lifestyle, mindset, and motivations. By integrating your genetic blueprint with an understanding of you as a whole-person, I create a plan that’s effective, fulfilling, researched, and designed specifically for to help YOU meet YOUR goals.
3. Ongoing Support
Once we have your fitness plan in place, I’m here for you through every step of your journey. Each day presents different challenges, achievements, setbacks, or roadblocks, and you don’t have to face them alone! As your trainer, you can rely on me to provide the advice, motivation, accountability, and celebration you need to keep going and push toward your biggest goals. By monitoring your progress, listening to your experience, and reassessing your plan, we prevent burnout and keep you motivated no matter what comes your way. Your success is my ultimate goal, and I’m with you every step of the way!

My unique combination of genetic expertise and specialized training allows me to serve diverse populations, including biohackers, fitness enthusiasts, busy, and those seeking a fitness breakthrough. Additionally, as a Pre/Post Natal Exercise Specialist, I'm particularly passionate about helping women maintain fitness safely during pregnancy and postpartum while honoring their genetic predispositions.
